The bowler who was dropped by Mumbai Indians took all 10 wickets in an innings.

The series of records continues in the Ranji Trophy. After the triple century, now the record of taking all 10 wickets has been made. Actually, the fifth round match is being played between Kerala and Haryana in Elite Group C in Rohtak. On the third day of this, Haryana's fast bowler Anshul Kamboj has created history by taking all 10 wickets in Kerala's first innings. Anshul is only the third bowler in the history of this tournament to take 10 wickets in a single innings. He made his debut for Mumbai Indians in IPL last year. But Mumbai did not retain him this year for IPL 2025.

This feat happened after 39 years

The 5th round of Ranji Trophy 2024-25 is currently being played and the second day of the game was completely in the name of the batsmen. 4 different batsmen scored triple centuries in a single day. Now it was the turn of the bowlers to create history on the third day and this was done by Anshul Kamboj at the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli. He bowled 30 overs and took all the 10 batsmen of Kerala for 49 runs.

Anshul repeated this feat after 39 years in the history of Ranji Trophy. Earlier, Pradeep Sundaram, playing for Rajasthan in the 1985-86 season, took 10 wickets for 78 runs in a single innings against Vidarbha. For the first time, Premangshu Chatterjee, playing for Bengal in the 1956-57 season, took wickets of all the batsmen of Assam in a single innings for 20 runs.

This happened only 6 times in first class cricket

In India's first class cricket, it has happened only 6 times when a bowler has dismissed all the batsmen of the opposing team in an innings. The last time this happened in domestic cricket was by Debashish Mohanty. He took 10 wickets for 46 runs in the 2000-01 season of Duleep Trophy.

On the other hand, Subhash Gupte was the first to achieve this feat in first class from India. He took 10 wickets against Pakistan Combined Services while playing for Bombay in 1954-55. Whereas at the international level, this feat was achieved by Anil Kumble. He single-handedly defeated the entire Pakistani team in the Kotla Test in 1999.
