Israeli Airstrike in Gaza Claims Lives Amid Ongoing Conflict

Jerusalem: Israel has conducted another airstrike in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 individuals, including children, at a school in central Gaza that had been serving as a shelter for displaced Palestinians. The airstrike occurred during the night, with two additional women reported dead in Nuseirat. Local hospitals have confirmed that the bodies were transported to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, more than 42,000 Palestinians have died as a result of Israel's bombing and ground invasion of Gaza. The ongoing conflict has seen Israel not distinguishing between fighters and civilians during its attacks, leading to significant casualties.

The war between Israel and Hamas has now reached the one-year mark, escalating on multiple fronts. While Israel continues its operations against Hamas, it is also engaged in a campaign against Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, which has included missile attacks from Iran into Israeli territory.

Israel commenced a ground operation in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah on October 1. The conflict has seen both sides launching air and rocket attacks, with the death toll in Lebanon from Israeli airstrikes surpassing 2,000. Despite the high casualties, Hezbollah fighters continue to engage Israeli soldiers.

On Saturday, Hezbollah executed a significant attack on Israel, involving suicide drones and missile strikes that resulted in the deaths of four Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers, with several others seriously injured. The attack targeted a military base in Binyamina and is considered one of the deadliest assaults to date, injuring 67 individuals in Israel, many of whom are reported to be in critical condition. Hezbollah fired approximately 25 rockets and missiles aimed at the Israeli city of Haifa during this offensive.
