New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, the convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), while addressing the public during a rally in Kalayat, Haryana, said that if he had been released from jail 3-4 months ago, his party's government could have been formed in Haryana. He told that he is getting a lot of love from the people, but it has been only 10 days since he was released. Kejriwal claims that his party is going to win so many seats that no government will be formed in Haryana without him. He promised that whatever government is formed, it will have the support of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and he has taken the responsibility of getting his five guarantees fulfilled by that government.

Referring to his popularity, Kejriwal said that people smile on seeing him, while they turn their faces away on seeing other leaders. After resigning from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi, Kejriwal is now engaged in Haryana elections with full force and is holding rallies in support of the candidates. It is worth noting that Kejriwal was jailed in the alleged liquor scam case and the Supreme Court granted him bail on September 13. After being released from jail, on 15 September, he announced his resignation from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi and on 17 September, he submitted his resignation to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

During a rally in Kalayat, Haryana, he mentioned the electricity problem in Haryana and said that Delhi and Punjab get 24 hours free electricity, but this is not the case in Haryana. He claimed that only Kejriwal can do the miracle of free electricity. Targeting the BJP, he said that he was sent to jail in a false case, tortured and his medicines were stopped so that his morale could be broken.

Kejriwal gave five guarantees to the public, which include free electricity, mohalla clinics, improving government schools and hospitals and giving Rs 1,000 every month to women. He appealed to the people of Haryana to give him a chance to serve, because he is the son of Haryana and he was born here. Expressing pride in being a Haryanvi, Kejriwal said that he has brought glory to Haryana all over the world. Kejriwal said that he has a government in Delhi and Punjab and these are the only two states where 24-hour free electricity is available. He can repeat this miracle in Haryana too. Voting for the assembly elections in Haryana will be held in a single phase on October 5 and the results will be declared on October 8.
