Sayaji is a well-known name in the industry, he played the role of a villain in most of the movies. Sayaji started his acting career in Hindi films with 'Shool', before this film he has also done many Marathi plays and movies.

Sayaji started participating in Marathi plays in the year 1978. However, he worked very hard to participate in these plays. Actually, Sayaji grew up in a small village in Maharashtra, his father also used to do farming. After some time, Sayaji left the village and started living in Satara city. In Satara, he completed his studies in Marathi. Not only this, along with studies, he also started working as a watchman, from which he used to get 165 rupees every month. Meanwhile, he met Sunil Kulkarni, who is also a theater artist.

Fortunes changed after doing 'Jhulwa': Reports say that Sayaji started acting in theatre after meeting Sunil Kulkarni. He did many Marathi plays but he came into the limelight when his play 'Jhulwa' was released in 1987. Sayaji's acting in this play attracted the attention of many people. After this, he gained a separate fan following in the field of theatre. After Marathi plays, he reached Mumbai in search of more opportunities and did many theatre workshops there. Along with all this, he also completed his acting studies.

Appreciation for his role in 'Shool': According to reports, along with doing theatre, he got work in his first Marathi movie 'Aboli', his role in this movie was also appreciated and he was also awarded the Best Actor Award for it. After making his mark in Marathi films, he stepped into Hindi movies. Sayaji got his first Hindi movie 'Shool', in which he played the character of Bacchu Yadav, which was liked by the people. Sayaji has worked in Marathi, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Gujarati movies. However, after making a successful career in movies, he is now ready to try his luck in politics as well. Sayaji has joined the Ajit Pawar-led NCP party in Maharashtra.
