Mumbai: Veteran actor Rekha stole the show at the IIFA 2024 night with an amazing 20-minute dance performance alongside a group of dancers. The graceful performance in an Anarkali dress, at the age of 69, left her fans mesmerised. They took to social media to express their feelings about the actor.

Video clips of Rekha’s appearance and the dance performance were shared by IIFA on its official Instagram page. IIFA wrote, “The night lights up as the iconic and ever-glowing Rekha gives a stunning performance on the stage of the NEXA IIFA Awards 2024.”

Fans reacted to the post reminiscing the vintage Rekha and her golden days.

In the video, Rekha is seen dancing to Lata Mangeshkar’s iconic song “Piya Tose Naina Lage Re” from the 1965 film Guide. She also performed to “Mohe Panghat Pe” from the 1960 classic Mughal-e-Azam, “Lag Jaa Gale” from the 1964 film Woh Kaun Thi, and “Pardesiya Yeh Sach Hai Piya” from the 1979 movie Mr. Natwarlal.

The three-day celebration began on September 27 with IIFA Utsavam, an event dedicated to honoring the southern film industries—Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. IIFA 2024 will conclude on September 29 with the exclusive, invitation-only IIFA Rocks.
