“A constable was killed as he was crushed by a car in a road rage incident in the Nagloi area last night after he asked the car driver to move the car. The constable was allegedly dragged for 10 meters and hit another car. The police have seized the car while the accused is absconding,” the Delhi Police said in a statement.
According to police sources, Sandeep, a constable at the Nangloi police station, received information about a car carrying illicit liquor. He came out of the police station and signalled a car to stop. There are conflicting reports about what exactly happened at this point. The driver abandoned the car and fled the spot following the accident.
Though Delhi Police has denied that the incident has any links to liquor mafia. some local sources tweeted on X that the Wagon R involved incident belongs to a person, who is active in liquor business.
