Fans are gearing up to watch celebrities face terrifying trials in the jungle, including Coronation Street star Alan Halsall.
Best known for his role as Tyrone Dobbs, Alan admitted ahead of his appearance: "It's a life experience, and I'm sure I'll discover new things about myself along the way." He added: My daughter is 11, so I'm hoping I won't embarrass her."
The 42-year-old soap actor is now a devoted single dad to his daughter, Sienna, but his love life has been far from smooth sailing. From a high-profile divorce to a romance with his co-star and the shock break-up, here at The Express we closer look at the ups and downs of the soap star's personal life.
Alan Halsall met Lucy-Jo Hudson on the Coronation Street set in 2002, and the pair began dating in 2004. They tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed their daughter, Sienna-Rae, in 2013.
Fans were surprised when the couple announced their separation in March 2016, only to reconcile shortly after in an attempt to save their relationship.
Unfortunately, their efforts proved unsuccessful, and they ended things for good in 2018. The breakup quickly turned sour, with tensions between them playing out in a very public manner.
According to reports, the ex-couple are no longer speaking to each other. A source told "Alan and Lucy-Jo still aren't on speaking terms.
"If Alan needs anything he goes through her boyfriend Lewis (Devine). They both want what's best for their daughter Sienna but they won't communicate. Things are just as bad as when they first fell out."
Alan Halsall was in a relationship with his Coronation Street co-star Tisha Merry until early 2024 when the couple decided to part ways.
The two first crossed paths on the show's set in 2014, but their romance didn't blossom until 2019, shortly after Tisha exited her role as Steph Britton. Their relationship lasted five years, during which they lived together, before ultimately calling it quits.
A source told the Daily Mail that the pair had naturally 'drifted apart.' they said: "Alan and Tisha had a lot of love for each other and had really similar interests, enjoying socialising and going on holiday together.
"But they started to drift apart and feel the pressure of making their relationship work get on top of them. They realised they weren't on the same page and splitting up felt like the best option."
On the 2024 series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, Halsall will head to the jungle alongside the likes of McFly star Danny Jones, N'Dubz's Tulisa Contostavlos, Former Strictly Come Dancing Judge Oti Mabuse, Loose Women's Jane Moore and radio and TV presenter Melvin Odoom.
