alum Declan Bennett, famed for playing Charlie Cotton, has tied the knot with actor Fra Fee in an exquisite wedding held in Castletown, Ireland. Hollywood star Luke Evans was among the glamorous guest list.
The groom, at age 43, cut a fine figure in a sharp blue suit, while his 37 year old significant other chose an eye-catching maroon getup for the occasion.
Luke's partner Fran Tomas took to Instagram, posting heartfelt messages alongside delightful snapshots and vibrant videos of the celebration.
Highlighting the joyous atmosphere, one video captured the newlyweds energetically singing and dancing with their guests post-ceremony.
Expressing his joy, he captioned: "Yesterday was a beautiful wedding; an emotional day full of love, laughter and MUSIC. Like a live musical! Congratulations Declan and Fra."
The Oxfordshire-based couple have been an item since 2020. Before staking his claim on TV screens, Declan harboured dreams of music stardom, reports .
In a turn of fate, his major opportunity arose in 1999 when ITV's This Morning featured him in a live boy band hunt segment. This exposure piqued the interest of Point Break, a group comprised of Byker Grove alumni Brett Adams and David Oliver, who were on the lookout for a new third member and had Warner Music backing at the time.
Point Break savoured its success, launching five singles that rocked the UK top 20 and producing an album that reigned supreme in three nations' charts.
But in 2000, Declan decided to part ways with the band, eager to pursue other endeavours.
In 2002, he landed a part in Boy George's West End production, Taboo, which proved to be a pivotal moment in his career. He eventually stepped into one of the main roles and toured with the show until 2004.
Deciding to return to his musical roots in 2005, the Coventry-born artist embarked on a solo career. His debut album, released under the moniker Sumladfromcov, was launched on his self-established label, Covboy Records.
He followed up with a limited-edition EP, The Kitchen, in May 2006 and continued to release solo work, later under his own name, until 2013.
Declan's stage success translated well to the small screen when he secured a significant role in EastEnders in 2014. He portrayed Charlie Cotton - the offspring of notorious character Nick Cotton (John Altman).
His time on the soap opera saw him involved in major plotlines, including marrying Ronnie Mitchell (Sam Womack) and engaging in an affair with Ronnie's sister Roxy (Rita Simons). Declan left EastEnders in 2015 but made a brief comeback in 2017.
