fans were delighted with a change up in the format of the Sunday night results show this evening (November 17). However, eagle eyed viewers pointed out that an audience "rule" may have been applied, as they said that the show was "how it should be" thanks to the changes.

The professional dancers opened the with a mesmerising traditional Argentine Tango. The stars all appeared in black-tie dress as they moved swiftly around the dancefloor.

Fans at home were besotted with the performance as they noted that the results show was not always opened with such an entertaining start. Those watching seemed to have nothing but praise for the change up.

Posting to X/Twitter, one fan wrote: "What an opening Group Dance! Traditional Argentine Tango music and wonderful routine! This is what I've been missing! #Strictly." Another added: "Starting with the pro routine?? Are we actually back to how it should be??? #Strictly."

While a third penned: "Great opening. Absolutely loved the music too. #Strictly."

As the dance went on, viewers noticed that other than the tantilising music in the background, the studio was silent, with a lack of clapping and cheering from the audience - a change that was also welcomed.

One social media user noted that they may have been asked to remain quiet, writing: "Interesting that the audience didn't clap once during the professionals group dance. Which suggests that they were asked not to. Which begs the question, why TF can't they be told not to for all the other dances??"

Another added: "So nice to see dancing without the idiot audience screaming and cheering every 20 seconds. They were silent and respectful for the dancers. Makes a big difference. #strictly."

A third said: "So nice to hear the audience keeping the f**k quiet whilst there's a dance happening #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing."

Someone else noted: "Best comment from the judges was Shirley saying she loves when a dance makes the audience STOP F**KING CLAPPING ALONG. #scd #strictly."

This week's results show saw and Katya Jones go head to head with and Johannes Radebe in the dance off. Unfortunately, one celebrity and their professional dance partner were to be sent packing by the judges, being eliminated from the star-studded competition.
