has revealed that she was left "hurt" after finding out that viewers had made cruel comments about her voice.

The former star, who placed fourth with her partner Andrew Le Page, opened up about the jibes in an unearthed 2023 episode of the podcast (October 30).

Tasha, 26, who was born deaf and had a cochlear implant when she was five, explained that when she left the villa, it was "so overwhelming".

The model said she "couldn't explain the feeling", but also experienced "negatives", with her dad sitting her down to "warn" her about "things that were said".

She said: "Like, you had negatives, positives, so much love and it's like...you see so many different things, but I didn't go looking for it. I was very like...my dad basically had just sat me down and told me pretty much things that were said and 'just to warn you'."

Tasha continued: "He was very honest and I was like, 'fair enough', and I think...the only thing that probably hurt me the most was about my hearing, like, people taking the mick out of my voice, the way I spoke."

She added: "People were literally making TikToks about my voice, taking the mick out of my voice, yeah. It's crazy. And I think that's probably the only thing that hurt me because I was a bit like, 'I can't help how I speak'."

Tasha decided that she wouldn't respond to it and turned it into a positive, as she has a "platform" now and can educate the "trolls" and raise awareness.

The Strictly star recently took to Instagram to offer insights into her cochlear implant, revealing that she uses double-sided tape to secure it to her ear.

She went on to explain that she can't hear herself speaking when she isn't wearing the implant. Tasha, who is partnered with on Strictly, has also said she's "proud" to have been born as part of the deaf community.

Speaking on her Instagram Stories, she said: "Why does my voice change when I take out my cochlear implant? Because I can't hear my own voice, I can't hear how loud I'm speaking, what my tone's like and my pitching, so naturally my voice changes."

In September, it was reported that Tasha and Andrew's relationship had continued away from the show, with the pair moving in together, getting matching tattoos and adopting a dog.

The couple, who made it to the Love Island final, also became homeowners in February and marked their second anniversary over the summer.
