fans are convinced that the 'true' parentage of Kit Green lies with a former villain from the soap.
Kit, portrayed by Jacob Roberts, was introduced to the cobbles earlier this year as Bernie Winter's (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost offspring. Bernie, a beloved character, gave up Christopher 'Kit' Green for adoption nearly three decades ago.
She eventually located him, but initially, he wanted nothing to do with her. Meanwhile, Bernie's twins, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash), were shocked to discover they had an additional sibling.
Moreover, Kit played a role in ensuring Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper), a despicable character, was incarcerated for the supposed murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). Kit planted Lauren's DNA in paedophile Nathan's van, framing him.
Since then, Kit has become a regular fixture on the cobbles, causing plenty of upheaval. He has also emerged as a suspect in the recent 'Whodunnit' involving the vile solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill), reports .
The villain's corpse was discovered in a local river in September. However, a pathologist later determined that Joel had died prior to entering the water.
Furthermore, it's safe to say that since his arrival, Kit has aroused suspicion among many fans who are unsure of his 'true' motives.
However, in what could be a massive plot twist, viewers believe they have deciphered who Kit's biological father is. On a Reddit thread, fans speculated that Kit might be the secret progeny of cobbles murderer Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis).
Rob's offspring Bobby (played by Jack Carroll) made his entrance to Weatherfield last year, sparking speculation among viewers. One avid fan remarked: "If Kit were Rob's son, it could've been a great way to start creating an entire web of connections within a six-month to year period."
The theory was further elaborated by the fan who suggested that Kit could "bridge a gap between Carla (portrayed by Alison King), Ryan (Ryan Prescott), Liam (Charlie Wrenshall) and Maria (Samia Longchambon)".
This idea seemed to resonate with the soap's audience, as another viewer expressed: "Damn... I can totally see this." A third chimed in: "Rob was born in 1979 but you could easily just make him a teen dad instead." Adding to the chorus of intrigued fans, yet another shared: "Interesting I could see it."
