's Joel Deering actor, Calum Lill, has confessed to nabbing a rather pricey prop before his departure from the soap.
The star rose to prominence portraying solicitor Joel, making his first appearance in 2023. Initially introduced as a good guy and sparking a romance with Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown), his 'true' nature was soon revealed.
In an unexpected turn of events, it was disclosed that he had a past of grooming and abusing young girls, including Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) - whom he tried to murder before she disappeared for several months.
Joel's offences were ultimately exposed - and at the end of September, his body was discovered in a local river. However, a pathologist later determined that Joel had died prior to entering the water, igniting a gripping 'whodunnit'.
A variety of residents have become suspects over recent weeks, including Dee-Dee and even Carla Connor (Alison King). However, during Friday's episode (November 15), Joel's killer was unveiled as Lauren, reports Plymouth Live.
It appears that before his soap exit, actor Calum was eager to take a few mementos from his time on the long-standing soap. So much so, that he confessed he is now "kitted out".
During a chat with Reach and other press, Calum was asked if he had taken anything of Joel's with him. He responded: "Yeah I have. I've got a lot of his costume. They spent loads!
"His smart casual stuff is nicer than any of my smart stuff, so I'm absolutely kitted out now! " Calum joked.
Intriguingly, he added: "So I've got that and I've got the murder weapon." Calum detailed: "The one I've got is like a brick that would have been part of the bridge. So I've got the soft foam version."
Reflecting on the shock revelation that Lauren was the one to finish Joel off, Calum opined that it served him right, remarking: "When I found out it was Lauren I thought soap justice is definitely a thing, and I think that's the best justice he could have got."
He further commented: "He attacked her viscously and nearly killed her, so for it to be able to come full circle, and for him to get his comeuppance from the person he attacked when she was vulnerable and defenceless I think, is what he deserves."
