Davina McCall begs 'pray for me' in brain tumour hell as fans rush to support her

Explaining that the 14mm wide cyst is so rare only "three in a million" people are diagnosed with it, Davina said: "Also, I'm okay. It's been up and down, obviously. We've been through a lot. But I don't want you to worry about me, I'm doing that enough as it is."

She added: "It will be removed via a craniotomy - they go through the top of my head here, and through the two halves of my brain to the middle, get the cyst, empty it, take it out, and Bob's your uncle. So say a prayer for me. I am in good spirits."

The star has already been flooded with support from fans and celebrities alike, with presenters and . Alison said on the ITV show: "Davina has just put out a statement that she went through a routine scan and discovered that she has got a brain tumour but the good thing is that it is benign.

"We just want to say, all our thoughts are with Davina. We are thinking about you and you are so strong. Even in the Instagram post, she is just incredible."

Dermot chimed in: "The good thing is that it is benign. She said the chance of having it was three in a million. Sending you all our love and prayers Davina and Michael."
