The ever-divisive will be hoping to secure his second stay in office tonight (Tuesday, November 5), with Americans set to take to the polls to cast their vote.

But his journey to possibly becoming president for the second time is more than unconventional having made his money through his various real estate interests, with him having a whole host of hotels, casinos and golf courses to his name.

Three years after graduating from college, Trump left the New York borough of Brooklyn and Queens for the more glamorous life of Manhattan where he used a one-million-dollar loan from his father, plus another $100m from bank loans his father helped him get, to buy buildings including the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Trump Tower and Trump Plaza.

In the following years, his empire would continue to grow with him soon venturing out into the world of television, making him a household name across the country thanks his starring role on the US Apprentice and even a cameo performance in Home Alone.

However, his career pinnacle came in 2017 when he beat Hilary Clinton to become the 45th president of the US.

His current election campaign has been far from plain sailing after his near death experience after being shot in the ear whilst on stage at a Pennsylvania rally on July 13. But, that was only the start of what would go on to be a controversy filled campaign for either party, with the Democrat's changing leader from Joe Biden to Kamala Harris.

It has been reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton made a stunning 30 million dollars between March 2023 and March 2024 and according to the Royal Estate those earnings account for "the cost of the official, charitable, and private lives of their royal highnesses the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children."
