EastEnders exit 'sealed' for long-running character as fans 'can't watch' after twist

Send Push

fans are buzzing with speculation that a major character could be written out of the show in an unexpected plot twist.

The soap has recently put Kat Slater, portrayed by Jessie Wallace, and her son Tommy Moon, played by Sonny Kendall, at the heart of a distressing storyline involving child-to-parent abuse.

Tommy's alarming actions began earlier this year following Kat's breakup with Phil Mitchell, actor Steve McFadden. His behaviour escalated to skipping classes and shoplifting, but things took a darker turn in July when he physically assaulted Kat.

After confiding in Alfie Moon, actor Shayne Richie, who promised to handle the situation, Alfie had to temporarily exit Walford for training, leaving Kat and Tommy to face their issues alone.

This week's episodes saw the tension peak as Tommy struck Kat in the face, causing fans to predict a grim outcome for the young character.

Discussions on an EastEnders fan page on Facebook have viewers suggesting that the storyline might lead to Tommy's departure from Walford, possibly ending up behind bars.

One fan speculated, "Where do we think the storyline is going with Tommy? " while another added, "I reckon Kat ends up calling the police or someone and Tommy gets arrested.", reports .

A third viewer predicted grim outcomes, commenting: "He will either put Kat or one of the boys in hospital... Maybe social will get involved and take him away."

Meanwhile, a fourth fan remarked: "Trying to be a mini Phil but gone too far... He is going to jail or end up dead."

The shocking scenes where Tommy violently attacked his mum Kat left other viewers appalled. One shocked fan exclaimed on social media: "SORRY?? TOMMY PUNCHED KAT IN THE EYE??? wrap it up."

Another expressed their frustration, saying: "Need to rant about this Tommy storyline Eastenders have been stressing me out with." And yet another added: "These Tommy and Kat scenes are really hard to watch ngl."

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
