Emmerdale's Stephanie Milligan star Georgia Jay's life off-screen away from village

Send Push

fans, brace yourselves for some fresh turmoil in the village as the soap gears up to introduce two new characters Ruby Milligan's long-lost father Anthony and her daughter Stephanie.

Veteran actor Nicholas Day is all set to portray Anthony, who hasn't laid eyes on his daughter Ruby for several decades, and Georgia Jay will step into the shoes of Stephanie, a character that has been out of touch with her parents, Ruby and Caleb.

The repercussions of Anthony and Steph's sudden emergence in Ruby's life are yet to unfold, but it promises to stir up a healthy dose of drama.

Nicholas, 77, a familiar face from iconic TV series like Minder and The Crown, is expected to bring his seasoned acting chops to the Dales, whereas viewers might spot newcomer Georgia Jay, also known as Georgina Philipps, from her stint as Dianne Vickers on the acclaimed series Girl/Haji on BBC.

Georgia's additional credits include roles in Glow and Darkness (2021) and The Devil Sits on Both Shoulders (2018). Although details about Georgia are scarce, she keeps an Instagram account ticking over with a modest follower count of 268, showing infrequent glimpses into her travel adventures.

On her socials, Georgia Jay once offered a sneak peek of her role in Giri/Haji in 2020. She posted a still of herself clad in a crimson dress from the series alongside the caption: "Don't mess with the one in Red."

Joining Emmerdale signifies a thrilling step in the actresss career as she prepares to become part of the Milligan clan on-screen.

Fans are braced for an insightful dive into Ruby's history with the arrival of Stephanie and Anthony, shedding light for the first time on her early ties with Caleb.
