The First Descendant is about to get a big new update on PS5, Xbox Series consoles and PC. The second major update of Season 1 has an October 10 release date. Unfortunately, however, the new content won't be playable until after a period of extended server downtime. The First Descendant server maintenance will begin on October 10 at 6am BST UK time. The game will remain down for around 7 hours, until approximately 1pm BST. To jump back into the action once the servers are back online, you'll need to download update 1.1.4.
The headline new feature of the upcoming update is the release of Ultimate Freyna, who is said to unleash her power with the Nightmare Dominator.
Speaking of Freyna, fans will also be able to play through new story content involving the popular character.
Other new content includes The Death Stalker boss battle, which takes place in the Void.
Nexon explains more: "The Death Stalker has appeared in the Void. A stalker of living things in the darkness of the void space, the Death Stalker is a more formidable foe than any Colossus you have intercepted so far."
That's on top of new skins and cosmetics, as well as the Frost Watcher, Modification Module and new cosmetics.
Needless to say, NEXON will also make countless gameplay tweaks and bug fixes, including various balance changes for characters and enemies.
