Gregg Wallace 'repeatedly told inappropriate jokes' on Masterchef, says John Torode's wife

The star was allegedly to a female staffer while appearing on Impossible Celebrities in 2018. Wallace has disputed this and insisted that his comments were 'not sexual.'

Lisa Faulkner, who is married to Gregg's co-star John, has alleged that the TV star told 'several rude jokes' to the crew. Speaking at the Cheltenham Literary Festival, the 52-year old claimed:

"Gregg was telling - I'm probably not allowed to say this... Gregg just told rude joke after rude joke to the crew."

She added: " You're just sitting there and if you're on the front bench just chopping away thinking, "I've got ten minutes left," and he's saying, "So this girl walked into a bar..."

"And I'm going, "Please I don't want to hear this joke,"" before John interrupted and said: "It's changed quite a lot really." The pair were at the festival to promote Lisa's new book.

Express Online have contacted a representative of Gregg for comment.

It comes shortly after Gregg was r eportedly hit by a probe in 2018 into his behaviour by the .

He originally said on Monday morning on : "With reference to what's in the newspapers, these allegations were investigated by the six years ago - and my comments were found to be not sexual. I repeat not sexual. Thank you."

Gregg then posted another bold statement to his 195K fans, saying: "Something else that I feel very strongly about, strong enough to be on here, nobody six years ago or since has accused me of flirting with anybody or hitting on anybody.

And that's important to me, and I say this for my wife Anna, who I've been true to and madly in love with since the day I met her."

In 2023, he was allegedly also accused of being rude and insulting to women on a different show, Inside The Factory. Wallace has also denied this.

A source told the Sun: "There are questions to be asked about the decision to allow Gregg to continue on MasterChef despite these previous incidents.

"The say they are keen to clear up issues around workplace culture but have allowed Gregg to remain on a flagship show despite allegations about his conduct."
