I'm a Celebrity star Alan Halsall made a brutal dig at host just minutes into the first episode this evening.
has returned for another season as a whole host of new celebrities take on its grueling challenges. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have also made their return as hosts for the show that airs from the Australian jungle. Celebrities will be facing gruelling Bushtucker Trials in a bid to snatch the jungle crown from 2023 winner Sam Thompson.
Minutes into the first eepisode Tulisa, , Jane Moore, Danny Jones and Dean McCullough were slapped with a vomit-induing drink task before skydiving out of a helicopter. Once on solid ground they met their other five campmates; GK Barry, Coleen Rooney, Melvin Odoom, Alan Halsall and
Half the celebrities skydived out of helicopters to greet to other five cast members on the beach beefre their race to camp began. Before Alan was picked by Tulisa and went on to win the first challenge of the series he was quick to make a dig at hosts Ant and Dec.
The star said: "I mean they are only small they could be about." Melvin responded: "They're about my height to be fair".
Alan revealed his fears in the opening episode. Despite many celebrities sharing their worries over being faced with creepy crawlies or heights - Alan is scared of bacon and fish. In an unusual confession, the TV star revealed his biggest fear in the jungle would be having to eat bacon.
While it may appear that everyone is getting on like a house of fire, a feud between two campmates could be bubbling under the surface, as they become accustomed to life in the jungle. The two celebrities in question are social media star , 25, and presenter , 32. When speaking to the MailOnline, Dean claimed that he was a "glass half full kind of guy", who refuses to accept those who are happy to "put their feet up".
Meanwhile GK voiced the complete opposite as she not only said that she was a "glass half empty kind of girl", she also quipped that she was using the TV show to "have a relaxing couple of weeks in a hammock". By her own admission, GK boldly said: "I won't bring much to the camp, or clean much."
Issuing a stern warning to his campmates ahead of the show tonight, Dean said: "There could be a few people on that lineup who think, 'I'm just going to sit this one out, I'm not going to do the washing up' but yes they are."
Speaking on I'm A Celebrity... Unpacked Alan's fellow co-star Colson Smith said: "He's really just throwing himself in and its great to see him have so much fun. I know Alan very well... I thought coming into this environmnent he may be a bit different, standoff ish, quite, but he seems to be having the time of his life smiling away."
He added: "I want to see him do a trial I think from seeing him tonght he is going to throw himself in. I heard a rumour apparently Alan is terrible with spiders so hes kept that a little bit quite when going in.
Colson revealved his second favourite campmate: "So far I do love Danny I think he's just so into it, and the rock hands at every opportunity hes going for it. Everyone's got their thing haven't they."
Speaking about Alan and Tulisa's bond Colson said: "They seem to be quite smitten now they seem to be like two best mates."
