Sam Thompson, the former champ, has spilled the beans on the infamous jungle dunny, and it's a tale not for the squeamish. In the aftermath of an eventful second episode, comedian Joel Dommett, radio host Kemi Rogers, and gathered for another instalment of I'm A Celebrity... Unpacked.

The trio delved into everything from Barry McGuigan's heart-wrenching revelation about his daughter Danika's to the squalor of the camp toilet, leaving no topic untouched. Kemi Rogers posed the question everyone wanted answered: "How gross is the dunny really, without grossing us out and everyone who's watching talk us through it."

Joel Dommett, who narrowly missed being crowned King of the Jungle in 2016 to , admitted: "It's quite gross, it really is," prompting Sam to add: "You get used to it but the first time, he is right, people freeze up for the first few days but then when it all lets loose it gets real heavy real fast! " Joel humorously warned: "You don't want to be emptying the dunny on day four."

Sam, aged 32, didn't hold back: "Well, you have 12 campmates in there at one point and you have to unscrew the lid so you have to look, I'm sorry this is a bit graphic, but you have to look Kemi at everything in there, and you wouldn't believe the waste that come out."

Kemi was curious about the daily level of waste buildup, and Sam remarked "nearly to the brim". Joe, 39, hilariously reflected on identifying contributions in the camp's dunny: "You've got to take a peep, because you're like 'I think that's Carol Vorderman's'". Sam also noted, "The wild thing is you know who went last as well because they'll come back from the dunny."

When Corrie star Colson Smith questioned whether the infamous dunny could be locked, Sam clarified: "No, it's just a cloth. Colson, let me tell you something big guy, when you're in there and you're hunkering down the terror you have of someone, because you can see steps coming towards you, you shout 'taken' because you know they're going to come in."

In a cheeky admission, Colson revealed his own privacy tactic: "In Big Brother we couldn't lock the doors so I used to take all my clothes off and put them outside the door to make it clear that I was in there." Joel then reminisced about his jungle experiences, explaining, "We used to put a log outside and that was our thing of, like, it was engaged."
