has been blamed for forcing Prince Harry's decision to to quit UK, according to royal experts who discussed their exit back in 2020.

The 43-year-old, who officially joined the Royal Family in 2018, has been described as "impetuous", with 's royal photographer Arthur Edwards sharing that he believes Meghan is to blame for Harry quitting the UK.

The couple - who tied the knot in May 2018 - stepped down as senior working royals in early 2020, before moving for a new life in the US. They now reside in California with their two children.

Speaking on the publication's first ever Royal Exclusive Live show, royal editor Matt Wilkinson said: "The problem was that Harry and Meghan were so impetuous they made that decision [to step down] straight away."

Agreeing, Mr Edwards said: "There was no choice, he was going, wasn't he?

"Meghan said 'we are going' and that was it. And as we say, he made that decision and disappeared. That was his choice."

Arthur then said that decision was "fair enough", but slammed both Meghan and Harry for "being really nasty about their family here, the pair of them, just to make money".

Following their decision to step down from royal duties four years ago, Harry released his bombshell memoir Spare last January. The couple also released their Netflix docuseries in December 2022.

The highly-respected photographer also recalled how Harry used to be "so much fun" during public engagements, - something which changed after he began dating Meghan.

Arthur shared: "I remember when he met the Jamaican Prime Minister, instead of saying 'hello ma'am, 'pleased to meet you' he just hugged her.

"And I said 'what did you do that for' and he said 'because my father said she likes a hug so I thought I'd get in first' and that's what he was like, it was so much fun."

He added: "And then we went to Brazil and he playing football with the kids on the beach and he's running a road race and as he finished the race he had a picture of William on his face. He was fun and he was surprising.

"And he used to say 'I'll do everything I can to make it good for you, and that's what shocked me when he just cut us all dead, that one time up in Manchester. I'll never forget and I was shocked and it was just the day he met Meghan or the day he fell in love with Meghan, and it's all changed since then. I feel sad about that because he was a fabulous person to work with."
