's Will Taylor's new woman on the soap has been 'rumbled' - and it's not Kerry Wyatt.

Will, played by Dean Andrews, has been embroiled in a tumultuous storyline with his wife Kim Tate (Claire King). Fans will remember that earlier this year, Will had an affair with his ex-wife Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco), which led to him being blackmailed for £50k to keep the secret from Kim.

In a shocking twist, it was revealed that Kim was the one blackmailing Will, having known about his infidelity all along. Will was left stunned by the revelation, and Kim has since demanded a divorce.

However, Will is determined to ruin Kim and is set on claiming half of her wealth, despite their prenuptial agreement. Kim, in response, has declared war to protect her assets. She also seemed to have slept with her financial advisor Peter, much to Will's annoyance.

In Tuesday's episode (October 8), Will appeared to move on as well, reports . Following a confrontation with Kim and Peter, Will sought solace at the pub where he caught the attention of Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton).

The two ended up getting drunk together and returned to Home Farm, where Kim had just confessed to Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) that she didn't derive as much satisfaction as she thought she would from upsetting Will.

Lydia's suggestion that Kim may still harbour feelings for Will left Emmerdale fans stunned, and when a tipsy Will and Kerry were spotted stumbling into her home before heading upstairs, it was clear Kim was left heartbroken.

Alone at Home Farm, Kim reflects on her troubled relationship with Will. Despite having orchestrated scenarios to shake Will, she confesses to Lydia that the triumph feels hollow. Lydia insinuates that perhaps Kim's 'true' feelings for Will haven't faded.

Meanwhile, the soap's avid viewers are betting against a future for Will and Kerry. Taking to social media, they've shared their conviction that Will is merely using Kerry to rile up Kim hinting at a possible reunion between the estranged lovers.

One fan speculated on an Emmerdale Facebook fan group: "I'm wondering if nothing is going to happen between Will and Kerry. Wil is just trying to get back at Kim by making her think him and Kerry are bonking!!

Another enthusiast responded: "I think they will get back together. Kim wants to." While another viewer stated emphatically: "I want them to stay together after all this drama." Echoing this sentiment, yet another added: "To be honest this childish tit for tat stuff between Kim and Will makes it so obvious they'll get back together."

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
