saw fans "switching off" or "muting" their TVs just minutes into the second episode of the news series on Monday evening. It comes as she was voted by the public to takle the 'Vile Volcano' trial.

She was given a pep talk from fellow campmates before heading down to see to start the challenge.

Explaining the Bushtucker Trial, Geordie duo hosts Ant and Dec revealed that deep inside the volcano were a series of caves and tunnels which she must search in to find hidden stars. Hidden in the depths were a number of creepy crawlies and rodents, including red ants, rats and GK's biggest fear - spiders.

The social media influencer screamed and swore as she took on the challenge, much to the delight of Ant and Dec. They quipped: "We're going to need to bleep a lot of this!"

While the presenters thought GK - whose real name is - reaction was hilarious, fans at home found the screeching to be irritating. Posting to social media, some people admitted that they had "muted" their TVs to make the noise stop.

Another said: "#ImACeleb I want to watch this trial on mute. I don't want to miss Ant and Decs commentary," while a third added: "Every five fucking seconds she's screaming. Tv on mute #ImACeleb."

However, other fans commended the star for her performance. One wrote: "Hats off to GK Barry because I wouldn't even have gone down there. #ImACeleb #imacelebrity."

Someone else added: "Despite the screaming that was a brilliant trial by GK Barry. Great effort. #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity."

A third praised: "GK actually did amazing there's been worse celebs that would have said get me outta here. It's just the screaming that's going to get annoying but there is no need to torture her with more trials. #imacelebrity #ImACeleb."

Overall, GK gave stellar performance for the trial. She managed to secure an impressive nine out of 10 stars for camp, meaning her and her camp mates would be eating well.
