is heading to the jungle for , and fans have just discovered her real name. The South African dancer is a doting mum-of-one and is best known for her time on Strictly Come Dancing, where she won twice with Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey.
Now, Oti will challenge herself in the harsh conditions of the I'm A Celebrity jungle, alongside celebrities like Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones, Alan Halsall, and GK Barry.
Born in Pretoria, South Africa in 1990, was named Otlile Mabuse, and trained as a civil engineer before pursuing her passion for dance.
She has become a judge on shows like Dancing on Ice and The Masked Dancer. Oti is part of a family of dancers, including her sister Motsi Mabuse, who judges on Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking ahead of her stint on I'm A Celeb, the dance judge said: "I've been a fan of I'm A Celebrity... for so long. Outside of Strictly and Dancing on Ice, it's the show I watch religiously, and I can remember last year thinking: 'Ok, this feels right. I'm up for the challenge.'"
Oti admitted that one of the jungle's challenges has her on edge. "In my head I'm a superhero but snakes are not my thing. I'm petrified of them and they are my biggest fear," she admitted.
Her family is fully behind her including her mum. Oti shared: "She's going to be one of my biggest motivators. My husband is really excited I'm doing the programme. He loves the show too!"
It comes as has shared his thoughts on Oti's chances in the upcoming 2024 series, saying the "popular" dancer has the "upper hand" in the competition.
The star-studded lineup for the new season was revealed this week, featuring familiar faces like Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones, Alan Halsall, and GK Barry, who will join Oti in the tough jungle environment.
Vincent, who is known for his six-season stint as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, offered his insights into the new group of celebrities competing for the title of King or Queen of the Jungle.
Speaking with , Vincent remarked: "I think everybody could win. I mean it's part about popularity and secondly it's entertaining. It's not just about the tasks. You need to catch people's hearts, be likeable and do well so it is very hard.", reports OK!.
He continued, highlighting Oti's potential edge: "I know Oti is quite popular, especially coming from a big show like Strictly so maybe she does have the upper hand so we just have to wait and see."
