Ant and Dec didn't shy away from poking fun at Coleen Rooney's infamous feud with Rebekah Vardy as the latter entered the jungle for this year's highly anticipated series.
Serving up their characteristic banter as they ushered in the new set of celebs, it wasn't long before Dec quipped: "It will be nice for her to face a trial that doesn't involve Rebekah Vardy."
The jest was a clear nod to Coleen's widely-discussed quarrel with her fellow WAG Rebekah, a dispute which made its way to the courtroom.
Rebekah had previously enjoyed her own stint on the ITV hit show back in 2017. Just a few hours prior to the series launch, Rebekah appeared keen to show indifference towards the fracas linked to Coleen's participation on the show.
At 38, Coleen had famously hurled accusations at Rebekah, alleging she leaked stories to The Sun, culminating in an iconic social media post. Despite initiating a high-profile defamation lawsuit, Rebekah faced a setback when a judge in the High Court ruled in July 2022 that the accusations were "substantially 'true", reports .
Faced with the question of whether she'd tune in to see one of the archetypal WAGs take on the notorious Bushtucker challenges, Rebekah told the Sun: "Absolutely, we'll be watching avidly. Everyone seems to think I have this massive problem with Coleen going into the jungle. But do you know what? If you want to fan the fire, the flames are going to get higher. I wasn't going to carry on talking about this. I had no intention of talking about it, but she clearly can't let it go."
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is once again thrilling audiences with its latest ensemble of stars braving the Australian jungle's grueling tests. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have resumed their presenting duties for the hit show, where celebrities face an array of challenges, including Bushtucker Trials and Kiosk Kevs puzzles, all vying to dethrone 2023's jungle champ Sam Thompson.
The opening line-up of jungle residents was revealed in advance, with names such as Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones, and Oti Mabuse set to shine. But in true I'm A Celebrity fashion, viewers can anticipate some unexpected arrivals, with rumours suggesting Love Island's Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles will make a dramatic entrance to the camp as the series unfolds.
Ant and Dec shared some "bad news" with their followers before the shows excitement kicked off. Addressing fans on their joint Instagram handle, the duo alternated between good and bad updates, with Declan making the announcement: "Hi everybody, Ant and Dec here. But you knew that. We've got a little update for you, because we know lots of you've been asking about Jungle Club this year. We've got some good news and we got some bad news. I'll start with the bad news, shall I?"
"Jungle Club will not be going on straight after the main show. Sorry. The good news is it will be going on straight after the new ITV2 show. Yay!" Dec then added: "So we are back, but we're a little bit later. Yes, we are. It's Jungle Club: Late and Live. One for all you night owls out there."
The duo is set to take their commentary live on Instagram following the main show in an exclusive segment called The Jungle Club where they'll share opinions, reactions, stories, and insider details.
