Jake Paul has already mapped out his future in combat sports, with plans to take on Canelo Alvarez and then make his debut in MMA. However, before he can do that, must first face off against in a match that is expected to draw 75,000 spectators in Texas.

The tension between the two fighters was palpable during their face-off on Thursday night, with slapping the 27 year old YouTuber. Both fighters have promised a brutal knockout, but it's Paul who has the most at stake given his claims of aiming for a world title.

If he manages to defeat Tyson, fans can anticipate him immediately challenging Canelo Alvarez for a cruiserweight world title fight. When asked who he wanted to challenge next, Paul responded: "It's Canelo."

He went on to say about his fight against Tyson: "This moment will prove I'm the face of boxing, the largest attraction and me vs. Canelo at 200lb for the cruiserweight championship of the world is the biggest fight, arguably even bigger than me vs. Tyson, and it makes so much sense."

"Canelo is on his way out. He's going to want a payday and I want to show the world all the stuff I've been talking about beating Canelo is actually 'true' and I'll have the biggest upset in the history of boxing. We'll fight to really see who is the face because after this event, I'm going to be claiming it."

YouTube sensation turned boxer Jake Paul is gearing up for a sensational switch to mixed martial arts after inking a deal with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) in 2022. PFL CEO Peter Murray anticipates discussions with Paul about his MMA debut soon after his bout with Tyson, stating: "I'm not sure if it's going to be his very next fight in combat sports but he will debut in 2025.

"Look what Jake has proved in boxing; he's an incredible athlete, he's a pro boxer and he's taken on some legit opponents and he has blazed his own trail. He's going to do it the same way in MMA; he's all about being an advocate for athletes and blazing new trails so he's absolutely going to take on MMA and be as focused and dedicated as he is to boxing."

With a record of 10 wins out of 11 boxing matches, Paul's only loss came at the hands of Tommy Fury last year. The two have been on a collision path for a rematch, which could potentially take place inside the MMA cage, especially since Fury has been honing his skills with UFC interim heavyweight world champion Tom Aspinall.
