Jason Kelce caused Monday Night Football star to walk off set after 'meat' comment

Ex-Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce has been serving up laughs alongside ESPN's Monday Night Football team, blending right in with the infamously jubilant 'Bills mafia' as they geared up for a crucial AFC East showdown between Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.

The future Hall of Famer was spotted mixing with fans, sporting a quirky buffalo wing necklace, ahead of Monday night's game. Referring to his culinary choice during the festivities, Kelce told host Scott Van Pelt on-air: "Man, I do love me some good cured meat. Polish sausage is pretty good."

His co-analysts, Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears, were left in stitches by his comments. Spears, nicknamed 'Swagu', even had to momentarily step away from the set to gather himself, prompting Van Pelt to coax him back with, "Come Swag, come back."

Even Kelce chipped in with the light-hearted persuasion: "Come on, everybody likes sausage."

Kelce also joined in with the tailgate revelries dressed as Fred Flinstone, toting a bowling ball filled with Gatorade. He made a playful remark, hinting at the possibility of a stronger beverage: "I hope you guys snuck something in there," before taking an enthusiastic gulp.

Questioned by Van Pelt about his drinking experiences during the party, Kelce confessed: "Unfortunately zero beers," adding jokingly, "Lots of food, lot of sausages. New York's a big sausage [town]."

The Buffalo Bills showed their appreciation for Jason Kelce's unique buffalo wing necklace, tweeting: "Peep the necklace," and adding: "@JasonKelce is one of us. #BillsMafia."

Kelce, who has teamed up with Buffalo Wild Wings as a partner, received a nod from the company as well, who commented on his fashion choice: "@JasonKelce wing man."

After hanging up his boots in the NFL, Kelce has embarked on a new journey with ESPN, reportedly signing a lucrative three-year deal worth $1.8 (£1.3) million. His illustrious 13-year football career was spent entirely with the Eagles, where he was drafted in the sixth round back in 2011.

A six-time First-team All-Pro, Kelce played a pivotal role in Philadelphia's historic Super Bowl win in 2018.

Sporting a Harold Carmichael jersey, a tribute to the Hall of Fame receiver from the '70s, Kelce turned heads at an Eagles tailgate on Sunday afternoon.

While enjoying himself atop a trailer, a cameraman attempting to get a closer shot of Kelce lost his balance and disastrously dropped what seemed to be a very expensive camera.

Meanwhile, Kelce's former team clinched a 20-16 win against the Cleveland Browns, easing the strain on coach Nick Sirianni and boosting their season record to 3-2.
