has confirmed flights will take off from next Spring in
London Luton Airport will become the company's 13th base in the UK and Ireland with flights set to reach popular European destinations.
Two aircraft will be with 17 routes set to take tourists to mainland Spain, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands.
Trips will also be available to Portugal, Turkey, Italy and the Greek islands.
Jet2 chief executive Steve Heapy said the was down to demand from customers.
On announcing the news, Steve explained: "We are very excited to announce London Luton airport as our 13th UK airport base today, further expanding our footprint and bringing our award-winning holidays and flights to even more customers.
"Customers and independent travel agents have been asking us to open at London Luton airport for many years now, so we know how enormously popular this announcement will be."
It is expected that 430,000 seats from the Luton services will be available to buy shortly as a result of the news.
Flights will take off from Luton from April 1, 2025, with tickets expected to be made available soon.
Jet2 will offer up to four weekly services to Alicante with trips available on Thursdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
A weekly Sunday service to Girona will be made available as well as two weekly trips to Reus.
Jet2 has promised two weekly trips to Gran Canaria and Lanzarote with a weekly service to Fuerteventura.
Those visiting Tenerife are also in luck with three weekly trips to head off from Luton on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Two weekly services will be available to those travelling to Ibiza with six trips every seven days to Majorca.
There will be four wealthy trips to Faro in Portugal with a weekly visit to Madeira.
Jet2 will also offer one weekly trip to Crete, Rhodes and Zante in Greece with two weekly journeys to Antalya and Dalaman in Turkey.
A weekly Wednesday service to Verona in Italy will also be offered as part of the expansion.
