Katie Taylor insists she doesn't care what Amanda Serrano and her team say about her after being accused of cheating her way to victory in Texas.

The Irishwoman was awarded a controversial unanimous decision victory to retain her undisputed super lightweight world championship at the AT&T Stadium.

All three judges scored it 95-94 in Taylor's favour in the rematch despite her being deducted a point for a headbutt in the eighth round which left Serrano with a nasty cut over her right eye.

The Puerto Rican challenger threw and landed more punches in an impressive performance against the champion. Serrano and her trainer Jordan Maldonado were both fuming in the ring afterwards.

But Taylor responded in her post-fight press conference: "I didn't even know what he was saying to be honest. I knew they were obviously complaining about the decision but I really don't care.

"I'm standing here as the victor again. I've fought her twice, I've beat her twice. All the judges were in agreement. So I really couldn't care less what's being said about the fight. I'm 2-0 against Serrano and I'm very, very happy."

Asked if she'd entertain a third fight with Serrano, Taylor replied: "If she wants, I have no problem doing it again."

That came after Serrano complained on Netflix: "[Taylor] kept headbutting me. But we knew that from the very beginning, from the first fight. That's what they do.

"She did not only my fight, she did it with Chantelle Cameron. Listen, I'm a Boricua. I'm going to die in this ring no matter how many cuts I have in my face."

Asked if she felt Taylor's headbutting was intentional, Serrano held nothing back. She continued: "I think 100 per cent, because she does it in every fight. It's not the first fight."

Serrano outlanded Taylor 324-217 and took to social media afterwards to post: "Ppl lie. Numbers don't. I landed 107 more punches, she got a point deducted and I lost 95-94 lmfao."

Serrano also reposted tweets that read: "Amanda Serrano gave the best boxing performance of the year and still got ROBBED" and "No offense, I was rooting for Taylor. Never again. You clearly won that fight. New fan here."

Taylor also said in the ring: "I certainly wasn't fighting dirty. It gets rough in there. It was an absolute slugfest, a war. This is an amazing moment in women's boxing. Thank God for another amazing fight."
