have added trio Leon Goretzka, Leroy Sane and Alphonso Davies to their radar as plot the next phase of their rebuild, according to reports. All three stars face uncertain futures at the Allianz Arena, and United could be ready to pounce.

It remains to be seen who will be United's manager by the time the January transfer window opens, let alone next summer.

But Sir Jim Ratcliffe's football leadership team will already be hard at work by planning recruitment to accelerate their ambition to restore United to the top of English football.

Goretzka, Sane and Davies represent the calibre of players who would help achieve just that, which has reportedly put them on the agenda at Old Trafford.

According to , there is a possibility that United push to bolster their midfield again this winter.

The Red Devils have heavily addressed the area during Ten Hag's reign, most recently splashing £51million to sign Paris Saint-Germain's Manuel Ugarte.

But his slow start, £60m Mason Mount's continued injury woes, and £70m Casemiro's startling decline have made Christian Eriksen as Kobbie Mainoo's most common partner.

It's claimed that United are interested in a move for Goretzka, but the 29-year-old - contracted until 2026 - currently wants to remain at Bayern beyond January.

The report adds that Davies and Sane have also been brought up in discussions at Carrington, with the duo's deals set to expire at the end of the season.

Davies is widely expected to depart, and United will likely be in the market for a new left-back. Neither Luke Shaw nor Tyrell Malacia have been available for selection this term.

Malacia is completing his rehabilitation for a long-term knee injury that also ruled him out for the entirety of last season.

However, Shaw's regular absence has been a theme for most of his 10-year United career, and club chiefs may have finally decided to find a solution.

That said, it would be a surprise if Davies ended up anywhere other than Real Madrid next summer.

The 23-year-old has been strongly linked with a switch to the Bernabeu, where Florentino Perez is still collecting Galactico signings after Kylian Mbappe's summer arrival - also on a free.

Meanwhile, Sane's ties to Manchester City already make him an unrealistic option.

Sky Germany also state that the German winger is actively in talks with Bayern over extending his contract beyond 2025.
