have been told should be sacked before the Red Devils face Aston Villa this weekend.

Ten Hag was bailed out by a late Harry Maguire header during Thursday night's dramatic draw away to Porto in the Europa League - a competition United are still winless in.

It means the Red Devils have registered just one win from their last 10 matches in European competition while managing just three from nine matches so far this term.

A dismal return, not least because the three-time European champions splashed a whopping £200million on new talent during the recent summer transfer window.

, insisting if he's given until the end of the season, he will be able to turn things around at Old Trafford.

But Express Sport readers believe that the United owners will be making a mistake by keeping Ten Hag on for this weekend's game against high-flying Aston Villa.

When quizzed, a whopping 69 per cent of voters said yes Ten Hag should be disposed of before kick-off at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.

What's more, 58 per cent believe Ten Hag's current assistant, Ruud van Nistelrooy, would do a better job than his compatriot, if the former United star was handed the reins.

Van Nistelrooy has been touted as Ten Hag's replacement ever since he was ushered in by INEOS during the off-season.

Former Arsenal star : "He's going to be the next manager, without a shadow of a doubt."

Whether that transpires remains to be seen, but Ten Hag certainly isn't willing to go down without a fight.

Speaking after United's draw against Porto, the ex-Ajax chief told TNT Sports: "We started the game very good, we dominated, scored two goals then we lost control.

"The start was good, the middle was not good then we finished very good. It's a tough place to go, we're coming back from 3-2 and get the equaliser.

"The team has a strong character, but the middle part we have to improve."

He added: "We need to be better on the ball, keep switching. We had good players, a good plan. We have to defend better.

"We had three clean sheets not a long time ago so we can defend very good, but we have to go back to those habits."
