capped off an incredible season by lifting the trophy at the ATP Finals - his eighth title of the year.

It comes just two months after he hired two of Novak Djokovic's former trainers to his camp. Since then, the Italian has lost just one match and clinched two titles.

Their insight has been crucial, as Sinner's coach Simone Vagnozzi explained how Djokovic's old team members "changed" things.

Sinner thanked his coaches for their role in his success after lifting a trophy on home soil at the season-ending championships. The 23-year-old has built a solid support camp over the last couple of years.

He linked up with his tennis coaches, Vagnozzi and Darren Cahill, in 2022. And Sinner - Djokovic's former fitness trainer and physiotherapist.

The duo have been spotted in his box ever since, joining Sinner during the Asian swing and at this week's ATP Finals. While they haven't been part of his squad for too long, Vagnozzi revealed that they'd both already had a huge influence on the two-time Grand Slam champion.

"For sure is not usually the situation, no? Doesn't happen so many times. But tennis, we learn. We learn always to adapt ourself to the new chapter," Vagnozzi said when asked how the two new members had settled into the team.

"We take two guys with a lot of experience. They come with experience of Novak. For sure really professional guys. The two change something, no? The method is different, for sure."

While Panichi and Badio have a different way of working, the Italian tennis coach believes it's been a seamless transition.

He added: "Step by step we found a really good - how can I say in English - really good method with them. The result is going well."

And there's even more work to be done in the off-season. "For sure it's not easy not to bring some new method during the season. For sure them job would be more important during the pre-season for the next year. We will see," Vagnozzi continued.

"For sure they are really nice guys. Are really professional. We're really happy to have them in the team."

While the ATP Tour season is over for another year, Sinner still has one more important tournament to play. The 23-year-old will be back in action at the Davis Cup Finals.

Last year, the world No. 1 helped Italy win the World Cup of men's tennis for the first time since 1976. And the team will be hoping to defend their title in Malaga next week.
