is set to make a thrilling comeback, leaving fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation for season 7, part 2. Executive Producer Maril Davis has already given a heads-up, cautioning that the upcoming episodes will be an "emotional rollercoaster".
The much-loved characters (played by Caitriona Balfe) and (portrayed by Sam Heughan) are poised to dazzle audiences once more as the series resumes later this month, continuing its seventh season.
The cast of the beloved fantasy romance series, inspired by Diana Gabaldon's acclaimed book series, recently shared heartfelt goodbyes, having concluded filming for Outlander's eighth and final season.
Devoted followers were moved to tears as the actors announced their final departure from the series, which has spanned over a decade and more than 100 episodes, with the last episode expected to broadcast sometime in the following year.
During an event at the Paley Center for Media, showrunner Davis hinted at a mix of elation and sorrow in the forthcoming episodes, reports .
She said: "I mean this is such a rollercoaster. [Season] 7b is such a rollercoaster. I always say this every season - I feel like I say, 'Buckle your seatbelts.'"
She further elaborated on the emotional journey, advising viewers to brace themselves, continuing: "But this one in particular is an emotional rollercoaster, so I think people should prepare to be, kind of... wrung out."
This statement follows a recent teaser for season 7b that depicted Outlander's popular duo, Claire and Jamie, facing yet another heartbreaking separation.
The latest teaser for the show has dropped a bombshell that suggests Jamie might have met his end, as Lord John Grey, played by David Berry, seems to deliver the gut-wrenching update to Claire that her husband is no more.
Yet Claire stands strong against the news, proclaiming with conviction: "I would feel it in my heart if it had stopped, mine would stop too."
Die-hard viewers, brace yourselves for an emotional rollercoaster, yet rest assured, the creators have hinted at a satisfying conclusion that will draw tears of joy as much as sorrow when the eighth and final season wraps up.
Following the closure of Lionsgate+ in the UK, new episodes of Outlander will be available on Starz and to stream on Prime Video channel MGM+ from Sunday, November 22. You must be an Amazon Prime member before you can sign up for MGM+.
