Prince Harry and are at a pivotal moment following Donald Trump's re-election in the US, which could add to what has been a "horrible year" for them. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex presented a united front in a video released on Thursday, despite facing "a crossroads" in their projects.

This unity is a far cry from the harmonious image Meghan once described in a notable interview two years prior. Their first joint public outing in nearly three months occurred amid fears that might deport 40 year old Harry after he confessed to drug use in the US in his memoir 'Spare'.

A source has commented: "This has turned into an annus horribilis (horrible year) for Harry. There was a huge backlash to [his autobiography] Spare which they were not expecting - as Harry said, he thought they would get an apology from the Royal Family. Instead they were mocked in [the satirical cartoon show] South Park and had to duck for cover."

"Since the summer they have had months of terrible press - attacks from The Hollywood Reporter and from [former Vanity Fair editor and Royal author] Tina Brown over the marriage, the charity and what Meghan is like as a boss. Nobody can understand why they haven't done anything together while this has taken hold", reports

Prince Harry, as recounted in his tell-all memoir 'Spare', faces a potential crisis over his prior drug use admissions when he relocated to the United States in 2020 - casting doubts on his current lavish lifestyle in Montecito, California. President-elect Trump's well-known antipathy towards the Sussexes poses a significant threat, potentially displacing Harry from his opulent £12million abode, complete with its high-end amenities and luxurious social scene.

Despite the looming uncertainty, an inside source conveyed to "Harry's in California. It's his home and where he expects to live indefinitely - with Meghan. They are very happy in California. They are both focused on the work which they are doing here."

Settling into American life, Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle seem content, with their children Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, adapting to the local lifestyle as evidenced by Archie's school attendance-a normality underscored by a recent video that portrayed the couple unitedly wearing poppies in advance of Remembrance Sunday at their dwelling.

In the poignant two-minute footage, a sombre Prince Harry is seen tenderly placing his hand on Meghan's back as she affectionately refers to him as "my husband". Beaming, the mother of two declares: "My husband and I recognise today's reality is marked by greater connectivity and advanced technology, which of course has many positives, but which also compels us to better understand how digital violence against children is manifesting itself in this age."
