Ruth Langsford shares health update as she leaves home for first time 'in days'

has admitted that she hadn't left her home for a number of days after falling ill with "the lurgy". The former ITV This Morning presenter was out walking her , Maggie, when she shared a health update with her fans.

Posting to Instagram, sharing with her 1.1million followers, the 64-year-old TV star enjoyed a rare sunny autumn afternoon. In the clip, her little dog trotted alongside her as her shadow showed her seemingly wrapped up warm in a big coat.

Ruth captioned the clip, explaining that she had not been feeling too well, writing: "I've had a couple of days at home with the lurgy but feeling better today so I ventured out for a stroll with Maggie. Nice to get some fresh air."

In a second video, Ruth shared that she had been off her food while not feeling well, but finally had her appetite back. Sharing a snap of her dinner - sausage, chips and peas topped off with gravy - the host said that she was "so hungry".

She wrote: "Haven't eaten much for a couple of days so I've gone old school dinner! SO hungry!" In a second clip she continued: "Bisto instant gravy granules... delicious!! Took me back to school dinners."

The Loose Women panellist recently underwent a very glam transformation following her split from former co-star Eamonn Holmes. The pair were married for 14 years before announcing their shock split back in May.

The 64-year-old was all smiles as she filmed stylist Leo Bancroft taking the scissors to her hair, giving her a glamorous makeover before running his hands through her freshly trimmed locks.

Pleased with what he had managed to accomplish, Ruth captioned the Instagram story: "The master at work."

This comes as Eamonn was in Barcelona, with his - who is 22 years younger than him.

Eamonn and Katie reportedly met several years ago but have struck up a close friendship over the past couple of years following his turbulent time with his ex.

Despite Ruth and Eamonn both reportedly trying to move on, both of them have been spotted still wearing their wedding rings.
