After years without any new Silent Hill games to speak of, Konami and Bloober Team are finally ready to release the Silent Hill 2 Remake on and PC via . The long-awaited Silent Hill 2 Remake has an October 8 release date and a midnight BST UK launch time on PS5. The PC version will be playable from 5am BST UK time. The Standard Edition costs £59.99, although you can save money on the PlayStation version by purchasing discounted PlayStation Store credit from CD Keys below. You can pick up £60 of PlayStation Store credit for the reduced price of £54.48 by purchasing a £40 PSN top-up card and a £20 PSN top-up card and adding them to your PlayStation account.

After purchasing a top-up card from CD Keys, the retailer will send you a link with the code that can redeemed on the PlayStation Store.

Once you've added the credit to your PlayStation account, you can pick up the £59.99 Standard Edition of the game, having only actually spent £54.48.

There's also a Deluxe Edition of the game for £69.99, which comes with 48 hours early access, a digital artbook, soundtrack and a couple of in-game items.

If you do pre-order the game ahead of the midnight launch, then you can also pre-load the game early.

Silent Hill 2 Remake weighs in at approximately 50GB on PS5, so it's worth downloading the content early to ensure you can play the moment the clock strikes midnight.

Reviews have so far been kind to the Silent Hill 2 Remake, which boasts an impressive 87% score on Metacritic.

The Silent Hill 2 remake benefits from enhanced visuals and sound, as well as various other quality of life improvements.

It also adopts the popular over-the-shoulder gameplay style popularised by fellow survival horror games like Resident Evil 4.

Indeed, the combat system has been updated with new moves such as the ability to dodge attacks and aim down sights.

While Bloober Team has been keen to retain the spirit of the original and not change too much, fans can also explore new locations and buildings that were previously inaccessible.
