Strictly Come Dancing 'fake' live show complaints as viewers spot sign BBC is 'pretending'

Strictly Come Dancing viewers have blasted the BBC for 'pretending' the Sunday night results show is live after the first elimination week of 2024.

The familiar complaint resurfaces every year, and many fans complained that the Sunday results show pretended to be shown live, but in fact was actually recorded on Saturday.

And in 2024 the format has been kept the same despite repeated complaints every single series, with Claudia Winkleman, Tess Daly, Nadiya Bychkova, Jowita Przystal and all the contestants talking about 'tonight' and 'Sunday's results' despite the show being filmed last night on Saturday.

Tom Dean and Nadiya Bychkova are the first couple to be announced to be in the dance-off.

One of the reasons for the complaints is that spoilers leak out every week and many fans already know who's going to be eliminated before the dance-off is even shown, ruining the surprise on Sunday.

And one fan even pointed out that the BBC is keeping up the ruse by adding subtitles live, instead of pre-added, to make the show appear as if the subtitles are being added to live speech.
