pair and Nancy Xu are guaranteed to be the next for the chop, according to some fan theories about the BBC show.
Viewers are fearful for their future after learning they're due to dance the rumba to the tune of 'Time After Time' by Cyndi Lauper. They took to Reddit to groan that this wasn't the right time for such a challenging dance, especially after the pair faced a tough dance-off just days earlier during Halloween Week.
Though Fright Night might be over, this week could still bring a terrifying result for star Shayne and Nancy, whose future on the show is looking increasingly uncertain. Reddit was set alight with fans forecasting doom, with one cringing of the dance choice: "Tell me that you want Shayne out without telling me you want Shayne out."
"Shayne is doing a rumba?! The end is near!" fretted another. "I can't see Shayne surviving this week, unfortunately," admitted a third. A fourth added: "I feel like he'll be low down on the leaderboard, if not bottom. Terrible week to get a tough dance!"
Meanwhile, some fans also feared for the future of star and former Olympian Montell Douglas. Although he and partner Johannes Radebe survived the dance-off last week, viewers aren't convinced they believe in second chances.
They're set to dance a Paso Doble to Lola's Theme from The Shapeshifters - and it could prove to be their downfall.
"Iffy song choice for a Paso," one fan exclaimed, before keeping fingers firmly crossed for a "bottom two boost" at the last minute rather than an elimination.
The last couple to be ousted from the BBC show were former hockey player Sam Quek and his pro partner Nikita Kuzmin, despite many rooting for them.
There was also a surprise upset after Amy Dowden suffered a foot injury and went on to collapse backstage, forcing her exit from the competition.
Prior to that, the couple had shocked the nation by plummetting to the bottom two following their performance to Outkast's 'Hey Ya'.
It was a decision that, quite literally, almost caused them to be cast out.
Amy has sadly since announced that her injury has left her unable to continue - but the courageous cancer survivor is hoped to be returning next year to reclaim her crown as one of the show's best-loved pros.
She recently clarified that she and JLS singer JB Gill - who quickly clicked with one another - will dance together again.
Meanwhile, some have predicted that Pete Wicks, despite being one of the "weakest dancers" is likely to be saved.
Catch Strictly this Saturday at 6:35pm on BBC One, as the battle for the coveted Blackpool show begins.
