Taylor Swift made a timely return to the stands, witnessing the Kansas City Chiefs continue their winning streak on Monday night.

Despite missing Travis Kelce's 35th birthday festivities in Kansas City over the weekend, Swift was in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium. She watched as the Chiefs clinched victory over the New Orleans Saints with a 26-13 scoreline, taking their record to an impressive 5-0.

While Kelce didn't command the limelight this time around, running back Kareem Hunt and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster stole the show, securing 102 yards and a touchdown and amassing 130 yards respectively. However, the experienced tight-end seemed to regain his form, accumulating 70 yards across nine receptions and becoming quarterback Patrick Mahomes' preferred target.

Travis Kelce's expression speaks volumes as Chiefs penalised by brother of Taylor Swift's backup dancer.

Kelce also had a crucial part in Xavier Worthy's touchdown, receiving a direct snap in a play taken straight from coach Andy Reid's playbook before passing it to the speedy wide receiver. The evening concluded positively for the Chiefs, who now have a break before their match against the San Francisco 49ers on October 20.

After the game, within Kelce's private box at Arrowhead Stadium, Swift shared her thoughts with Chariah Gordon, partner of Kelce's teammate Mecole Hardman. "How do you feel after this win? " Gordon asked in a video uploaded to her Instagram story.

"No, it's important that you answer the question this time," Swift insisted, before Gordon continued: "I think that we feel really good about this week, we are 5-0."

Swift then interjected: "Going into a bye week" before agreeing with Gordon by concluding: "Perfect is the word! ".

The post-game spotlight was firmly on Smith-Schuster and Hunt, two key players who didn't start the season with the Chiefs but were reinstated by Coach Reid. Hunt, who led the league in rushing for the Chiefs as a rookie in 2017, and Smith-Schuster, who played a pivotal role in their Super Bowl triumph in 2022 before moving to the New England Patriots, were at the heart of the conversation.

Mahomes heaped praise on Smith-Schuster on Monday night, even drawing comparisons to Kelce. "Trav is kind of one of a kind, but [Smith-Schuster] has a good feel for the entire concept of the play and so he knows how to get into the open spots," Mahomes mused.

"He did a sterling job today of beating man when they played man and finding windows [in zone] to make big catches. "It's a testament to not only the guys and their hard work, but coach Reid and his understanding of their skill sets and how to position them effectively. Kareem just runs incredibly hard.

"He wrings every yard out there, he catches the ball, he does whatever is necessary to go out there and secure a win. [Smith-Schuster] fits well with this offense and he really made his presence felt today. It was fantastic to see those guys excel."
