Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard's future on This Morning is 'not certain' after bookies teased that a former co-star could be making a major comeback.

The dynamic duo officially joined the cast last year after Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield stepped back from the ITV daytime show. The pair were showered with praise from loyal fans online as they infected the programme with their cheeky antics.

In September, they made a triumphant return following their extended summer break alongside long-term hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary who host the Friday instalment.

But it appears as though their reign could be coming to an end after bookies told us that one familiar face could be returning to the famous blue sofa.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Coral's John Hill told us: "Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd remain odds-on to return to This Morning next year but the latest odds don't suggest it is certain."

Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd are odds-on at 4/5 with Coral to return as a double act in 2025. However, their odds have drifted in the last couple of weeks from 1/4. This suggests their future on the show is less than certain.

He went on to reassure viewers that other fan-favourites will hold down the fort including Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary and Sian Welby. The expert went on: "We have seen money for Sian Welby being given a full-time role, while the odds have also been cut for Holly Wiloughby to make an extraordinary return."

Sian Welby continues to prove popular. Her odds have been cut to 6/4 (from 3/1) for a full time role. Holly Willoughby is 2/1 (from 4/1) to make a return.

The 43-year-old star left the daytime show last October after presenting the show for an impressive 14 years. Holly bid farewell to the ITV show after security guard Gavin Plumb was found guilty of plotting to kidnap, rape and murder the Dancing on Ice presenter back in July.

Thankfully, the mum-of-three returned to TV in the new year when she hosted the ITV skating competition alongside new host Stephen Mulhern. And she is only going from strength to strength after she announced she will be fronting an exciting new Netflix show with British adventurer Bear Grylls.

Holly further sparked suspicions of a return to This Morning after she reunited with her ITV co-stars at the National Television Awards last month.

Fans will have to stay tuned to see if the blonde bombshell will return to her old stomping ground in the near future.

This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
