UK weather maps pinpoint exact date another 12 hours of heavy snow batters Britain

Shocking weather maps have revealed when yet another 12 hours of heavy snow will batter into a large chunk of Britain.

Weather forecaster WXCharts has now predicted when up to 10cm of snow could again before the end of the week.

Elsewhere in the UK, northern cities including Manchester and Newcastle are due to get around 10cm of snow, with southern regions experiencing between 1 and 3mm of rain to kick off the weekend.

Temperatures across the country will hover below 0C, according to the forecaster, with northern England set to drop to -5C on November 23, while London, Southampton and Plymouth stay in the low single-digits.

It comes after parts of the country recorded the first freezing temperatures of the season this week, with many waking up to -4C cold alongside the first snowfall.

Tuesday also saw widespread disruption across the UK, with more than reported and delays to road and rail travel.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued the first amber cold weather health alert of the season on Tuesday, warning that conditions could be dangerous for vulnerable people including the elderly.

The Met Office has also issued fresh yellow weather warnings for snow and ice across the UK today as the cold snap continues.

Dry and sunny in most places after a frosty start. Cooler temperatures will continue with wintry showers in northern and eastern regions.

Tonight:

Snow and sleet showers continuing overnight alongside cold temperaturees. Frost expected with some clear spells and clouds in the southwest heading into the morning.

Thursday:

Rain and hill snow possible in the southwest with a breeze across most regions and wintry showers expected in exposed areas. Some sunshine possible alongside continuing cold spell.

Cold showers and some sunshine on Friday with a frost overnight. Wet and windy weather across most of the country on Saturday and Sunday with some hill snow.
