Best Black Friday tech deals: Top gadgets expected to get big discounts in 2024

Black Friday is the biggest shopping event of the year and there's one thing that everyone is always after: tech. Each year there are big discounts on headphones, smartphones and other devices providing a perfect opportunity to snap up a bargain before Christmas arrives.

Big retailers like Amazon often lead the charge with the discounted gadgets too, meaning it's a great time to get yourself and Echo Dot or Kindle, but prices are often matched across Currys, Argos and other retailers, so you can choose where you shop.

But we know from experience that smartphone brands also love to cut the prices - Samsung especially. It's likely that you'll be able to get yourself a good deal on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, while Google's discounts will likely mean that the Pixel 9 Pro is more affordable too.

While Apple's direct discounts aren't always so good, other retailers will discount Apple products: it's likely to be a great time to buy the Apple AirPods Pro 2 and the iPad is often discounted too. For iPhone there are soe discounts, but often not as large as you'll find from other brands.

Nintendo Switch discounts have been amazing in the past but no usually focus on bundle deals, while game discounts across Xbox and PS5 are usually the best you'll get.

Fitness trackers like Fitbit - which make great gifts - are usually discounted, as are smartwatches. Ideal for those who want to get fit after the excess of Christmas.
