Pat Cummins' Reply On Naming Indian Player Who Can Get A Slot In His Team Will Make Indians Angry

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is going to start pretty soon and there is no doubt that this series will be fiercely competitive considering the fact that the rivalry between both the teams is getting intense with each series.

However just before the series, the Australian captain Pat Cummins has stirred conversation by stating that no Indian cricketer would make it to the Australian team. This comes in response to a media query posed to the Australian players about which Indian players they would like to include in their side.

While teammates Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head each named an Indian player they admired, Pat Cummins expressed confidence in the strength and balance of his squad.

Nathan Lyon stated, “It’d be a pretty strong batting lineup having Smith, Marnus and Virat in your top order.”

Mitchell Marsh commented, “Rishabh Pant. Batting at No.5, he is such a good light-hearted, young fellow. He was my skipper at Delhi Capitals, he is a ripper.”

Travis Head stated, “I’ll go Rohit Sharma at the top, he is batting pretty aggressively, isn’t he? I am happy with an aggressive bloke. Think you would have thought a generic response like Virat so I’ll go the other way and go Rohit at the top.”

Scott Boland responded with, “I’ll choose Jasprit Bumrah. He is a three-format player and one of the best bowlers in the world.”

The Aussie skipper Pat Cummins said, “No one”.

This is not the first time that Pat Cummins has made a cheeky statement, just before the final of the World Cup 2023 which was played between Australia and India, he said that he and his team would silence the Ahmedabad crowd which he did by making his team win the World Cup 2023.
