From a human-sized Ganesha idol made of mawa to a food festival celebrating the culinary heritage of Bihar, and from showcasing Burmese delights on the menu to celebrating continental fare, here are our recommendations for food lovers to explore and enjoy as the rains bring their bounty to North India.

Ramada by Wyndham Gurgaon Central: Chef Manoj Rawat, Executive Chef of Ramada Gurugram, and Sushma Kumari present "Bhoj," a tribute to the artistry of Bihari cooking and the community that treasures these timeless traditions. In Bihar, "Bhoj" means a feast, and the food festival brings together diverse flavors and traditional recipes that define Bihari cuisine. Home chef Sushma aims to revive and popularize these authentic tastes, offering a delightful experience to food lovers. From the mouth-watering litti chokha to the sweet delight of makhana kheer, and from the delectable mutton curry to the authentic choora matar, every dish showcased at this unique pop-up at Ramada, Gurgaon, tells the story of the region's cultural richness. The food is served in traditional pattals, and the menu highlights the state's culinary heritage. The festival will take place on the 12th, 13th, and 14th of September.

Burma Burma, NCR: To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Burma Burma has launched a special menu featuring exciting Burmese delicacies from the hilly terrains of Kachin to the bustling streets of Yangon. Known for its unique vegetarian cuisine and excellent service, each dish is crafted with creativity, making Burma Burma a favorite destination for vegetarians tired of the usual paneer and soya chaap. The anniversary menu includes scrumptious additions like Siman Thoke (Steamed Rice Tofu Salad), Highway Meal Parcel, Monk’s Meal or Kho Poong with Pebok Chet, Split Gill Mushroom Rice, Mont Let Saung, Durian Float, and Burmese Milk Tea Cheesecake, among others.

Taj Corbett Resort & Spa, Corbett: If you're planning to drive to Corbett this weekend, Taj is hosting special Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Under the mentorship of General Manager Ajay Sharma and Executive Chef Bidyut Saha, the team is paying homage to the elephant-headed God with a unique culinary creation. The resort's chefs have meticulously crafted a towering 4-foot Ganesh idol entirely from mawa, a rich and indulgent Indian sweet. This exquisite masterpiece is a testament to the skill and dedication of the culinary team. The monumental task took two days of careful craftsmanship by a team of four chefs. The hotel's regular menu features festive inclusions, making it an excellent opportunity to celebrate the festival while enjoying the natural beauty of the region.

The Grammar Room, Khan Market: The Grammar Room serves a mix of European and Asian cuisines, known for its classic epicurean delights, ideal for all-day dining. One unique aspect of the restaurant is its seamless transition from a daytime café to a lively bar and party spot at night. The food is delicious, and the service is quick. The café has already gained popularity, with most seats occupied even on weekdays. The menu is eclectic, featuring continental favorites alongside innovative additions. We recommend the Shroom Melt for mushroom lovers, Katsu Chicken Sando (crispy and juicy, served with excellent fries), TGR Pancake, Mango and Pomelo Salad, and Noodle Bop, among others. Their drinks and dessert menu are also worth trying.

Radisson Blu, Kaushambi, Delhi NCR: The "Purvanchal Express" food festival is a tribute to the rich cuisine of Eastern Uttar Pradesh and positions Rooftop—The View as a premier food destination in Delhi NCR. With a focus on adding variety to the menu, the festival enhances the dining experience. The culinary team has curated a special menu featuring iconic dishes like Nihari Gosht, Tunday Kebab, Kakori Kebab, Awadhi Biryani, Litti Chokha, and Champaran Meat, offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies.

Guppy, New Delhi: Guppy, part of the Olive Group of Restaurants, is celebrating its 11th anniversary with a vibrant and playful month-long celebration featuring a special menu curated by Head Chef Saurabh Sharan. Guests can enjoy the Exotic Fruit & Greens Salad, Chilli Brie Tempura, and Enoki Mushroom Tempura as starters. For mains, the menu includes Crispy Scallop & Spicy Cod Roe, Miso Chicken Stew, and Grilled Fish in Goma Lemon. Ramen lovers can choose from Vegetable Garlic Ramen or Kimchi Pork Ramen. Additionally, the restaurant offers a selection of new dessert cocktails, such as Oh So Vanilla and Berry Berry Rosy, designed to provide a gratifying experience to both cocktail aficionados and dessert lovers alike.
