Avantika Dassani was welcomed into the world of cinema with the success of ZEE5’s series, Mithya in 2022. Co-starring Huma Qureshi, the actress forayed into acting and won millions of hearts. Now, the second season of the show, titled Mithya: The Dark Chapter, is streaming on ZEE5. Avantika, who is the daughter of veteran actress Bhagyashree and Himalay Dassani, told Zoom in an exclusive interview that Mithya served as the right platform to introduce her as an actor. Though she was offered conventional launch pads, nothing convinced her as much as Mithya did.
Avantika on Mithya being the perfect debut Avantika shared, “People assume there’s a platter from where we can choose and pick. There isn’t. I was offered conventional roles before Mithya but nothing convinced me the way this show did. As actors, you wish to do such characters and it did set me apart from others. People noticed me as an actor before anything else.” ALSO READ: The actress revealed not many people were aware prior to Mithya that she is Bhagyashree’s daughter. Avantika shared the reason saying, “I wasn’t very much in the media before Mithya. This made it easier for me because before you could form opinions about me, I broke it for all with the show. Many people had no idea before Mithya that I am Bhagyashree’s daughter and Abhimanyu Dassani’s sister. They loved my performance and then Googled to find out. It is a huge compliment for me.” About Mithya: The Dark Chapter Apart from Avantika, Mithya: The Dark Chapter also stars Huma Qureshi and Naveen Kasturia. While Avantika plays the role of Rhea, Huma is her step-sister Juhi. Naveen’s character is named Amit Chaudhary, who is a mysterious writer. Mithya: The Dark Chapter is directed by Kapil Sharma and is produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Rose Audio Visual Production. You may also like
