Iran Rains Missiles On Israel On Tuesday, sirens continued to sound in Israel as Iran launched a missile attack. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed the missile assault was a response to the recent Israeli killings of militant leaders and aggression against the Iran-backed armed group Hezbollah in Lebanon, as well as in Gaza, as per Reuters. In a statement, the IDF reported that all Israeli civilians are currently in bomb shelters as rockets are being fired from Iran towards Israel. Recently, Israel carried out targeted strikes against Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, which resulted in the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike. Earlier in July, Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh was also killed in Tehran. Iran had vowed retaliation in both instances. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Iran would face consequences for its missile attack on Israel. Tehran threatened "vast destruction" in response to any retaliation, signalling possible escalation of the ongoing conflict. PM Modi Speaks To Netanyahu Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu and reiterated that "terrorism has no place in our world." "Spoke to Prime Minister @netanyahu about recent developments in West Asia. Terrorism has no place in our world. It is crucial to prevent regional escalation and ensure the safe release of all hostages. India is committed to supporting efforts for an early restoration of peace and stability," said PM Modi in a post on X.
