Bank Holiday On November 20Banks in the state will also be shut on November 20 as per the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar. However, customers can still conduct transactions using mobile banking and net banking services. What Did The Municipal Commissioner Said?To encourage voter participation, Bhushan Gagrani, the district election officer and municipal commissioner for Mumbai, has instructed businesses within the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) boundaries to allow their employees time off to cast their votes. Gagrani warned that companies failing to comply with the Election Commission’s guidelines could face penalties. Bank Holidays In November 2024The RBI’s holiday list includes several other festival days for November, such as Diwali Amavasya (Laxmi Pujan), Chhath Puja (Evening and Morning Arghya), and Guru Nanak Jayanti, among others. Citizens are advised to plan their financial activities accordingly. Dry Days In MumbaiMumbai will witness several dry days in November as the city gears up for the Maharashtra Assembly elections on November 20, 2024. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced a ban on the sale of liquor across Mumbai and other cities during the elections to maintain order and ensure a smooth voting process. Dry days are typically enforced during elections, religious events, and cultural occasions to prevent disruptions.
