Jowar Beetroot Uttapam Prepared with a blend of simple ingredients, follow these easy steps and enjoy your day! Ingredients- 1 cup beetroot
- 1 cup jowar flour
- ¾ cup finely chopped onions
- ¼ cup grated carrot
- 2 tbsp chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp shredded coconut
- 2 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
- 2 tsp oil for greasing
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp finely chopped curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Start by chopping the beetroot into small pieces and blending it into a fine paste along with shredded coconut for a delightful taste. You can also add a tbsp of water while grinding.
- Now, in a large bowl take jowar flour, curd, besan, water and salt to taste. Mix well and cover the batter. Stir beetroot puree along with tomatoes, ginger, green chilli paste, curry leaves, coriander leaves and cumin seeds.
- Add 1/3 cup of water and mix everything well. Next, in a non-stick pan heat ghee and pour a ladleful of beetroot jowar batter. Cook the uttapams with a little ghee or oil until golden brown in colour and serve with coconut chutney for a delightful taste. Enjoy!
