Hezbollah's drone strikes on Israel has left four Israeli soldiers dead and over 60 injured. The strikes targeted an army base in Northern Israel near a town called Binyamina. Shortly after the attacks, the Iran-backed group released a statement where they explained on how they successfully executed the attacks on Israel. In the statement Hezbollah stated, "In a qualitative and complex operation, the missile force launched dozens of missiles towards various targets with the aim of occupying the Israeli air defense systems. "Continuing in the statement, the military group said, "At the same time, the air force of the Islamic Resistance launched squadrons of various drones towards various areas in Acre and Haifa." The group then explained about their successful penetration into the defense radars of Israel without being intercepted. This move helped them to attack their targets in Northern Israel. The statement issued by Hezbollah further explained how the drones attacked the military bases. "They exploded in the rooms where dozens of Israeli enemy officers and soldiers were present who were preparing to participate in the attack on Lebanon, including senior officers, resulting in the killing and wounding of dozens."The attack is considered to be Hezbollah's strongest attacks on Israeli forces ever since the conflict started on October 7, 2023. Amid the attacks, there were rumors of Israel Army Chief's death that started doing rounds on social media. Fake claims about Herzi Halevi's death garnered attention, that were soon addressed with the confirmation of him being alive. The ongoing Middle East tensions escalated after the conflict intensified between Israel and Hamas.
