Vance addressed a crowd of 500-600 people in North Carolina, discussing topics including Hurricane Helene recovery, immigration and Social Security. North Carolina, a key battleground state, will play a pivotal role in the upcoming November elections. One attendee raised concerns about disaster relief, asking when a legitimate conversation could occur about reforming the process to reduce bureaucratic red tape. Vance acknowledged the need for change in how disaster relief is managed.Vance also addressed immigration, highlighting his and former President Donald Trump’s plan to deport undocumented individuals. He stated that the plan was straightforward, saying, “We gotta send them home ASAP.”In addition, Vance pointed to the financial impact of undocumented immigrants, particularly focusing on housing costs. He argued that immigration has contributed to rising housing prices, making it difficult for younger generations to afford homes. Vance expressed concern that young Americans could become “paupers” in the nation built by their ancestors. Before Vance, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley and Senator Ted Budd of North Carolina delivered brief remarks. She’s revved up about those modest Handmaid gowns.
